Welcome to Colwell's Performance Neapolitan Mastiffs! We are located well off the beaten path near Luling, TX, about 55 miles from Austin and 75 miles from San Antonio.
Our Neapolitan Mastiff program began a few years ago in an effort to produce a Neo that will protect his family & property when threatened, heat tolerant, proportionate, energetic, and healthy. The Neos of the late 19th and early 20th century possessed all these qualities and more. The old style Neapolitan Mastiffs have inspired our own personal standards for our dogs. The show type Neos have sacrificed everything for the sake of skin and grotesque size. We sacrifice nothing except skin and grotesque size. Our dogs are tested for working abilities as well as health tests. One means nothing without the other.
